Visibility has always been a key issue when it comes to alien sightings; typically, these stories don’t garner much national attention. However, since the pandemic began, A-list celebrities have started to come out with stories of their “real life” interactions with aliens -- and the public is taking notice.
While they might not be the most credible sources, these sightings are notable because they mark some of the first potential high profile human-alien interactions. Here are three of the most noteworthy stories that have come out in just the past two months:
1. Post Malone.
In a recent episode of the Joe Rogan Experience, rapper Post Malone confessed that he has been visited by aliens since he was 16. Don’t worry if you missed it -- the episode was four hours long, so we’ll give you the highlights.
Post Malone tells Joe Rogan that he first saw an alien when he was at his cousin’s house in upstate New York: “My aunt and uncle were very strict, and we had to go to bed at a very strict deadline, probably 10 P.M. I was looking out the window with my cousin and it's just a light that just stays there and then just fuckin' goes off...I mean, you can't explain it.”
Apparently, this wasn’t his last encounter with extraterrestrial beings, either. Post Malone said that he has seen a number of other UFOs to this day in locations ranging from Southern California to Utah. Of course, we have to take these sightings with a grain of salt: Post Malone confessed that he was on mushrooms during the interview with Joe Rogan, and he was only “medium sure” of what he had seen at his cousin’s house that night.
While it might not be the most credible story, it sure has picked up some buzz in the media. Articles about Post Malone’s sighting have appeared in Vanity Fair, The Cut, The Independent, and more.
2. Miley Cyrus.
Miley Cyrus’ story is even more dramatic than Post Malone’s. In a Q&A with Interview Magazine, Miley says that when driving through San Bernardino with a friend, she was “chased down by some kind of UFO.” She explains that this UFO was shaped like a “flying snowplow” with glowing yellow lights.
Even more strange, Miley says that she saw an extraterrestrial being sitting on the front of the flying object, and the creature made eye contact with her. This intimate moment with the alien truly “shook” Miley for days.
Similarly to Post Malone, however, drugs may have been involved in Miley’s recollection of this sighting. She told Interview that prior to seeing the flying snowplow, she had “bought weed wax from a guy in a van in front of a taco shop.” Not exactly her most credible moment, but an interesting story nevertheless!
3. Demi Lovato
Demi Lovato’s encounter is a bit different than Miley and Post Malone’s: she found the aliens, the aliens didn’t find her. In an Instagram post this October, Demi says that she and a small group of loved ones went out to Joshua Tree with CE5, a group that facilitates alien sightings and encounters with extraterrestrial beings. In the post, which now has more than 351K likes, Demi shared a video of her sighting, featuring a beam of light that streaked in a zig-zag motion across the sky.
Demi says that the sighting has shown her that while the “planet is on a very negative path towards destruction”, society as a collective can change this through conscious meditation and making contact with aliens. Whatever Demi saw that night, it seems to have brought her some peace -- so I’m all for it!
